Mission Statement:
The Goal of Project Hero is to enhance, inspire, and challenge Healing Heroes' rehabilitation by introducing them to R2R, which allow each person to set individual goals while working in a group. We partner with local facility staff and cadre to create a personalized and progressive cycling program that fits the needs of the patient population and will promote a fuller and quicker rehabilitation.
Offerings:
Project Hero programs include Project Hero HUB Centers, multi-day Challenges and Resilience Rides, along with single-day Honor Rides, all designed to help healing heroes set and achieve goals beyond their original expectations.
PROJECT HERO HUB COMMUNITY CENTERS
Community and Military-based HUB Centers offering participants recovery and rehabilitation programs that embody the Five Pillars of Project Hero: rehabilitation, employment, education, family support, community service all designed to deliver the benefits of Project Hero to Healing Heroes throughout the US. Project Hero participants are encouraged to ride and complete Ride 2 Recovery Challenge rides and Honor Rides.
Riding Events
The multi-day events consist of Ride 2 Recovery Challenge events, Mountain Biking rides and Resilience Rides. Our single-day Project Hero Honor Rides are geared towards raising awareness and funding for the R2R Programs and connecting Veterans and First Responders with riders in the local community, all with one important goal of helping more riders ride more often.
Participate:
Participate or support our Veterans and First Responders by taking part in Project Hero programs in your community and our multi-day, single-day and special events throughout the country. Register on the website to ride alongside our Healing Heroes in Honor Rides and Challenge Series events or take part in our women’s Initiatives and special events.
